How to Sell Your Quality Items by Auction
We are always pleased to hear from anyone who may have quality items they are thinking of selling by auction.
We hold bi-annual specialist catalogue sales of Antiques and Fine Art and offer a Free Valuation service to intending Vendors who may be considering the disposal of items through our saleroom.
The next sale is scheduled for Monday 24th October 2011, in The Yorkshire Suite at The Golden Lion Hotel, Northallerton, North Yorkshire DL7 8PP, at 10.30am and 1.30pm.
The Catalogue closes about one month in advance of the sale date.
Country House Sales
We are always interested in holding a dispersal sale of contents for clients on their own premises. These sales always create a great interest and fascination to buyers – We have organised many successful sales of this nature over the years and offer considerable experience in organising these events.
Free home visits can be arranged on a countrywide basis along with collection and carriage on larger items at cost, we do not make any charges on items in storage prior to the sale.
We offer a Valuation service for Probate, Insurance and Family division purposes charged on a daily or half daily rate which is negotiable prior to the visit.
Our Commission rates for selling are based on the value of individual items. Items left with us for sale attract a 1% insurance charge while in our hands.
Catalogue Illustrations are all in colour and taken by a professional photographer. The cost for this service will be agreed with the client in advance of the sale.
All our sales are advertised on a national and international basis through the Antiques Trade Gazette and their specialist Web site, local newspapers and other related Art and Antiques publications, as well as on this website. Under normal circumstances no charges are made to clients for advertising their goods.
All our charges are subject to VAT with exception of Insurance
We endeavour to settle accounts within 28 days following the sale providing funds have been received from the buyers of clients' items.
